What it is
Landing angle (or descent angle) is the angle at which the ball descends to the ground at the end of its flight. A steeper angle stops faster; a shallower one rolls out more.
Why it matters
Landing angle decides whether a shot bites or releases. Approach shots usually want a steeper descent to hold the green, while tee shots benefit from a shallower angle for extra roll.
How to improve it
Landing angle is a product of launch and spin: more height and spin steepen it; less flattens it. Adjust those inputs depending on whether you want stopping power or roll.
