Dynamic Loft

The actual loft delivered at impact — not the loft stamped on the club.

What it is

Dynamic loft is the amount of loft on the club face at the moment of impact. It differs from the club's static (stamped) loft because of shaft lean, how you release the club, and your attack angle.

Why it matters

Dynamic loft is a major factor in how high the ball launches and how much it spins. Too much or too little can cost you both distance and consistency.

How to improve it

Forward shaft lean reduces dynamic loft; an early release adds it. Ball position, hand position at impact, and a proper fitting all help you deliver the loft you intend.
