“If you are looking to ruin your weekend, burn through your hard-earned money, and experience the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel standards in golf course management, look no further than tamer Win. My recent visit wasn't just a disappointment; it was an insulting assault on the senses. The Atmosphere of Incompetence: From the moment I arrived, the experience was tainted. The front desk was manned by a woman who clearly missed her calling as a prison warden. As if the miserable welcome wasn't enough, we were harassed by a staff member who insisted on checking our tickets for absolutely no reason. We were clearly on the premises, clearly prepared to play, yet this individual hovered over us with a sense of self-importance that was as laughable as it was irritating. It felt less like a golf course and more like being frisked by someone who has never been given an ounce of real authority in their life. A Sensory Nightmare Stepping onto the course didn't provide any relief—in fact, it got significantly worse. The entire facility suffered from an overwhelming, suffocating stench of dog feces. I’m not talking about a faint farm breeze; I’m talking about a pervasive, gut-wrenching odor that followed us from the first tee to the eighteenth green. How a property can be so neglected that it smells like an open sewer is beyond comprehension. Zero Maintenance Standards Finally, let's talk about the "golf course" itself. It is a disgrace. The maintenance team must be on an indefinite strike, because not a single piece of rough had been mowed down a single inch. The fairways were practically indistinguishable from the jungle surrounding them, and the lack of upkeep made an already miserable day functionally impossible to play. It was less like golf and more like a scavenger hunt for golf balls in tall, unkempt weeds. Final Verdict: Do not waste your time, your money, or your sanity. Tamer win Golf Course is a neglected, poorly managed disaster. Save your game—and your nostrils—for literally anywhere else. Edit: While I appreciate the response, I don’t feel as though it was an adequate enough of an explanation. If the grounds have just been fertilized, shouldn’t have that been told to us before we went out onto the course? Why would a course fertilize directly before a 5:00 pm tee time? Also “earthly aroma” is a very interesting way to describe the smell. It was rough for even I, who has spent a lot of my life on a Hereford cow farm. As for the rainfall excuse, I understand the problems that this area has experienced in rainfall for the past few weeks and the issues that caused grass upkeep. With that said, even in the parts that were mowed to 4.5” that is incredibly too long for a course like Tamer Win at a 70.5 rating. Every other course around is much better up-kept and I haven’t had a problem yet this season. Along with that, places under trees and other locations were darn near up to my mid shin in length. “I've used the simulators for personal events, as well as during the Winter league event. Matt is always very accommodating and helps create an enjoyable environment. “Reading the very few negative reviews has me puzzled. I’ve never felt a more friendly, family-like presence at a golf course like Tamer offers. The course and staff are superior to most courses around. The pro, Matt, is an extremely knowledgeable and helpful person that is always willing to go out of his way to answer any questions you have or even just hold a conversation with you not even pertaining to golf. That being said, I’ve taken lessons from Matt and his abilities to critique and correct your golf swing after watching you hit the ball less then 10 times is extraordinary. I’ve recommended Matt for lessons to anyone that’s ever brought golf up to me and I will continue to do so. “Was told we play 18 holes in 5 1/2 hrs. Unbelievable total lie!. We finished at 4 hours and 15 minutes. We also was told we were holding up the other groups. How are you going to blame our group when the other was even waiting. Just putting it out there, it might have been the group of 6 that was placed two groups behind us. “Went to the driving range today!! I have not golfed the course yet, but it's on my bucket list! However, the range is quite a distance from the clubhouse, and that's the only downside from coming here. You can either walk your way over or what I did was drive over. The lady inside said I didn't have to return the green bucket, she said leave it. Obviously, if i walked over, i would return the bucket. But since i drove, it was nice not to return the bucket..
