Face to Path
The face angle relative to the path — what actually creates curve.
What it is
Face to path is the difference between your face angle and your club path. It's the relationship — not either number on its own — that determines how much, and which way, the ball curves.
Why it matters
A face open to the path curves the ball one way (a fade or slice for a right-handed golfer); a face closed to the path curves it the other (a draw or hook). Understanding face to path is the key to shaping shots on purpose instead of by accident.
How to improve it
Work on face and path together rather than chasing one in isolation. Keep the gap small for straighter shots, or set it deliberately when you want to shape the ball.
