“Booked a few weeks in advance for my partners birthday, and asked for the private room. The room was clean, and the sim was really nice. Easy to figure out how to use. Will be coming back. Drinks were also well made.” — Ivanka Hernandez, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (4 months ago)
“Went here with my kids on a recent snow day. Two different simulators malfunctioned consistently during the hour we were playing. When I broached the subject of the potential for a discounted rate, the guy working began yelling at me and accusing me of "talking down" and being "condescending" to him. That was his knee-jerk reaction -- not to ask what went wrong or how he could help. This all happened in front of my kids, and when I pointed out that I was simply asking for a discount for a service that was not working, the yelling continued. I never really liked this place to begin with -- very dingy atmosphere, awful food and poor staffing -- but now that Sim-City has opened in Westbrook, I will not be going back.” — CJ Lampman, rated 1 out of 5 on Google (5 months ago)
“I have golfed 0% in my life. I thought I would just sit there, have a drink and watch everyone else. I played and had so much fun! I was absolutely terrible-but I’ll be back to work on my game! The pub food was good, the bar is limited but the service was phenomenal.” — Kayla Cole, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (6 months ago)
“X-golf is your premium golf simulation experience. Unlike tracman, which I’ve used extensively, x-golf also provides a ground feedback sensor that can detect fat or thin shots; very helpful for achieving a more realistic measurement. There are settings to reduce the harshness of this penalty if you’re someone just looking to go hit some balls and have fun with friends. If you’ve played sim golf a lot before, especially on tracman, you know the putting is atrocious at times. I will say the putting system of X-golf is far superior, including their fixed ball placement position for putting only, to ensure a clean read every single time. The distance reads on mid range putts seemed more accurate, which is great when it comes to having a 12 ft. combacker for par after you scratch your head in confusion vs. having a clean up gimme (7 ft. Standard on x-golf but is adjustable) With all the being said Lucas, the head pro, is exactly what every regular golfer wants when they walk into a pro shop. The guy is knowledgeable, attentive and humble. He’s not your stereotypical, “annoyed you showed up for your tee time” pro. He’s very lenient and respectful of everyone’s time in each bay, letting groups finish their 18 hole round (within reason) or hit just a couple more range balls, as long as you’re not holding someone up and never rushes you out the door. The guy also pours a mean Makers Mark and made sure everyone else there was taken care of food and beverage wise. Long winded review but not affiliated an any way or trying to talk anyone into purchasing anything necessarily but after several subpar experiences elsewhere, I’d be dumb not to advocate for this place. Lucas and X-Golf get 5 stars. Will be back.” — Aaron Barrett, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (7 months ago)
“Best simulator I have ever been to. The technology is top rate. The ball tees itself up saving you time and it analyzes your swing in 20 different ways! Great staff and bar as well.” — Chris Valente, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (4 years ago)
