“We recently hosted a corporate event at The Backyard Pickleball and had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The entire team was gracious, welcoming, and incredibly hospitable throughout the event. Everything ran smoothly, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the facilities are truly top notch. Our group had such a great time enjoying the pickleball courts and golf simulator while making memories together. It was the perfect setting for team building. We highly recommend them for corporate outings, group events, or just a fun day with friends and family. We can’t wait to come back again!” — Shelley McCoy, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (a month ago)
“The Backyard is a fun place to visit with adults or kids. The main floor is for Pickleball, but there is also golf and a poker table. Get your own drink from the taps on the wall. There are 2 floors with seating on both. The food selection is not extensive, but they do offer snacks and some bar food.” — Linda Ogram, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (4 months ago)
“I recently hosted an after-hours event at the BackYard, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and ensured everything ran smoothly. The courts were in excellent condition, and the atmosphere was vibrant and fun—perfect for both beginners and seasoned players. I truly appreciated the friendly guidance and the sense of community this place fosters. If you’re looking for a top-notch pickleball experience + golf simulators included, this is the spot! Highly recommend and cannot wait to come back.” — Staci Jo, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (5 months ago)
“Staffing - All staff members were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout the whole experience. When we originally walked in, we were offered the needed materials if we did not have them FOR FREE. There was zero additional expense (to my knowledge) for their provided materials. Fortunately, we did not need them since we brought our own paddles and balls, but it is very nice to know that option is available. Building - The exterior of The Backyard’s building was very clean. It is always nice approaching and viewing a beautiful building that you will be using, especially for recreational use! On the interior, the courts were clean and extremely flat, preventing any potential tripping hazards. I suck at sports in general, but I could easily tell the pickle ball courts were very nice and of high quality. The building was also very well-lit with quiet music in the background. Amenities - There are plenty of other amenities to choose from if pickleball is not your thing. You can access their golf simulators, poker tables, self-serve draft beer, pickleball & merchandise shop, etc., all by just walking in and paying. Expense - To play pickleball, it was only $15/hour for a court. A WHOLE COURT. I do not believe there is a limit of people per court either, so if there are a lot of people wanting to play on one court, it’s still only $15/hour. Experience - For us, my brother and I had an amazing experience. Again, me and my brother are terrible at any sport; however, we actually enjoyed our time spent there, unlike many places similar to that in the past. It is truly a place where you feel comfortable, especially when it’s a place many people could feel uncomfortable in. No matter your weight, age, race, sexuality, or whatever, there is no excuse to not give it a try. You will see me coming back and I hope to see everyone who reads this review!” — Larin Brown, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (8 months ago)
“Came all the way from Pittsburgh to check this place out! The staff were very friendly and the facility was impressive! The beer wall did not disappoint! If your looking for a great place to play pickleball, play on the golf sim, and hangout with great people, this is the place for you!” — Thomas Carpenter, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (9 months ago)
