“The golf sim is terrible everytime I’ve been there it stops working. If you wanna play golf there don’t go somewhere else I’m not kidding. Swear to god don’t go there pickle ball is valid though. “Trying to stay active, my friend Ross asked me to play Pickleball with 2 more of our friends. Racket in hand, I made my way to Pickle N Par club, conveniently located right off 110 in Melville. Got there a little early, and checked out the place. They have 4 full, indoor pickleball courts, a couple of virtual golf rooms, a putting green, and even ping pong. The space is very impressive, in a building which must have been office space at one time (which currently houses Saf-T-Swim and Push Fitness- and a juice bar Fitrition). They not only offer pickleball court and golf simulator reservations, but also lessons/clinics and will even host private events. Talked for awhile with a very friendly staff member at the front desk and eventually changed to workout clothes in a clean bathroom, with a locker area for easy changes. We played from 9pm to 11pm and the place was hopping all the way to 11pm closing. Pickleball is obviously enjoying a huge following and Pickle N Par has got to be the "Rolls Royce" of indoor Courts. Well lighted, clean, everything looks brand new and well spaced. As a tennis/ping player in the past, loved the overall experience of Pickleball, good workout, eye hand coordination, strategy, court awareness and just plain fun! WIll definitely take some lessons, and look forward to a steady game. In conclusion, awesome place, awesome staff, just an all around wonderful place to play pickleball. “Pickle N Par is an amazing facility. I’ve been playing here for over two years. The facility is bright and clean and employs the kindest people. Recently I had lessons with Steve because my partner and I wanted to improve our game in preparation for a tournament. Steve provided excellent feedback to help improve our game. He identified our strengths as a team and ways we could work better together. We drilled essential skills and he helped us make necessary adjustments. Steve is encouraging, patient and fun and we gained a better understanding of court positioning, shot selection, and game strategy.
