“Incredible course and staff! Jim, the starter, was incredible! Best and most scenic course I’ve seen in OBX! Well priced for the experience, course was in tip top shape, and carts were well equipped. Excited to play here again when I have the opportunity!” — Bryce Roberts, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (2 weeks ago)

“The course was good, very windy this particular day. The grounds crew has the fairways and greens in good shape. I could only give 3 stars. I wasn't told before making the 1.5 hour drive from Virginia Beach that you must be a member to access the driving range. Which is foam balls due to the homes close by. So the first 4 holes were a waste as my group and I were warming up. The pro shop gentleman conveniently left that information out. He was also rather rude and short. Unfortunately our first impression was shocked, and not in a good way. Hope your experience is better. PS: The Marshall this particular day was great and very friendly..” — Tone NewEra, rated 3 out of 5 on Google (a month ago)

“Course was great, conditions were good. The starter was very kind (Jim). He even shared some stories with us because we were from out of town for a Bachelor Trip. Well due to chatting we were sent off a few mins late, but ended up catching up to the pace of play around hole 4…. Problem was the ranger (Tom) was very disruptive and his attitude was awful. I know his job is to keep pace of play up especially with a busy day, but him being over the top, giving a crappy attitude, and waiting at EACH hole the first 4 holes to tell us every time to pick it up was over the top. If i could rate the course and everyone else a 5 star i would. Even Grace the cart girl was very tentative. Tom should not work with the public. You shouldn’t pay over 100$ for a round of 18 and have a babysitter each hole giving a poor attitude just bc we were having friendly conversation with the starter at the beginning and were a couple minutes behind. The guys behind us were even cool about it. I would rate Tom 0 stars if i could. All in all, had a good time, good food, good drinks, and nice staff except one bad apple, and i don’t normally leave these reviews but Tom was terrible. I will still continue to recommend this course to anyone coming to OBX, but i will warn them if Tom is working there, just ignore him or you’ll have a poor round with no fun.” — Billy Nicol, rated 2 out of 5 on Google (a month ago)

“A hidden gem on the OBX. A very challenging course, especially when the wind is blowing. We played in 45 degree weather and 15 to 20 mph gust. Felt like we were in Scotland playing a links style course. Great shape for still being winter.” — Kevin Choe, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (3 months ago)

“Wasn’t planning to play golf on my vacation but I’m glad I did! Booked a tee time for 3:32 August 6th and called the pro shop, Steve was very helpful! I was looking to share a rental set with my brother and Steve said it’d be no problem (he saved me 80 bucks). We ended up finishing all 18 right at sundown which was absolutely perfect! The course played pure, greens rolled true and the fairways were in excellent condition. I will definitely be playing here again the next time I’m in NC, worth every penny!” — N Sondey, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (11 months ago)
