“Madden's is a well-loved resort reminiscent of days gone by. The staff are very friendly and I must say that the housekeeping crew made hospital folds to the bedsheets and you practically need a crow bar to turn the sheets down, and I LOVE IT! Those beds were wonderfully made. However, beyond the housekeeping crew's control is how shabby the rooms are. The carpets are frayed and the furniture is old, however the expectation is probably that you'll be out enjoying the resort rather than sitting in your room. The outdoor property is meticulously maintained, the golf course is beautiful, and the lake view is fantastic. “Madden's Mother's Day Buffet was absolutely divine. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with soft lighting and a beautiful view of the lake. The spread was just incredible, fresh seafood, prime rib, artisan breads, and a dessert table that was like a dream. Every bite felt like a celebration, and the staff was so attentive.
