“We’ll be honest, we drove over 100 miles to get this pizza, and we didn’t leave disappointed. Chef Luke’s Detroit Style is the real deal — a thick, airy square crust fired to perfection with those signature caramelized, crispy edges that Detroit-style is famous for. The pepperoni curls up into little crispy cups, and every bite hits that perfect balance of chewy interior, crunchy bottom, and bold, saucy flavor with a splash of tang from the vodka sauce. What makes Hook and Slice special is that this isn’t an afterthought menu item — Detroit Style pizza is their exclusive specialty, and it shows. The upscale lounge vibe makes it just as great for a date night as it is for a family outing or a guys’ night on the simulators. Alexandria is lucky to have this place. Do yourself a favor and go hungry, and don’t sleep on the ultimate pepperoni.” — Sota Food Tour, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (a month ago)
“We loved the pizza here! We brought some family there to have pizza and they played golf. They had never been to a golf simulator before and we all enjoyed our time there. We played golf, pool and ate wonderful food! We even were able to rent golf clubs. The service was top notch and bathrooms were clean. Everything was perfect. This was our second time there and will definitely be back! Thank you for having such a fun inviting place to beat the winter blaws!” — Michelle Aslagson-Klimek, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (5 months ago)
“Had the Detroit style pizza, it was amazing. It could've had more toppings but the flavor and crust made up for it. Our server was very friendly and attentive. They have a beautiful and well stocked bar with great signature drinks. They have very cool simulator golf stations that we didn't try.” — Shannon Hendrickson, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (6 months ago)
“We come to Osakis for the summer and we have been hearing how good the food is at Hook and Slice via multiple pages on Facebook that Alexandria has on dining etc. It was my birthday this past week and we finally made time to go and try it out. We got the cheese bread appetizer, that was really good! We ended up ordering 2 Big Detroit style pizzas-pepperoni and BBQ Chicken. Presentation of both was excellent. We digged in right away, one of the best pizzas we ever had. My mom is not a big pizza lover, she loved this pizza! We ended ordering the apple streusel dessert pizza for a late night snack…That was just as delicious as the pizza. Service and atmosphere was great. We will be coming back again before we head home for the summer to the cities. We don’t golf personally, but you can still go, have a great night out. It was actually fun watching other people at the simulators while eating. Thank you for an awesome dinner and night out!” — Bobby Walz, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (10 months ago)
“Decided to take my husband and kids to do something different before school starts this year. Hands down an amazing experience! The staff were super helpful for our first time being there when it came to the games and how to work with both left and right handed players. Our younger two kids enjoyed the arcade style game play and the oldest and my husband enjoyed the realistic feel of the golf course from an inside perspective. THE BEST PART, THE FOOD! I’ve never had a pizza that amazing in this state, I’d honestly say it topped the Chicago style pizza from the heart of the city itself. I’d go back just for the food! If you’re local or even want to try something new with the golf season coming to an end this place is for you!” — Crystal Riley, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (10 months ago)
