“Being a new beginner female golfer in a male-dominated sport can be intimidating, but my experience learning golf has been incredibly positive. I started golfing at the end of summer 2025 and took lessons with Charles Lee. As someone who didn't grow up playing sports, he made golf approachable and genuinely fun. During lessons, he clearly points out what I'm doing incorrectly and explains it using video comparisons from TrackMan recordings, which helped me understand my swing much better. I used to overthink every swing, but now I'm more confident and focused. Between each lesson, he gives 1-2 specific things to work on, which really helps with steady improvement--as long as you put in the practice between lessons. When I first started in October 2025, my driver distance was about 129 yards total. As of January 2026, I'm hitting around 160 yards. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm a lifelong golfer now, and I truly have Charles to thank for opening my eyes to this sport! I have more progress videos on IG if you want to check them out @WinniePlaysGolf. I strongly recommend taking lessons from Charles, thank me later! :))” — Winnie Wong, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (a month ago)
“I have been a member here for quite a while and for me its a really cool place. The people, the atmosphere, the food and the technology. I just got my first fitting at 5iron from the GM Peter and the Director of Instruction Charles Lee (it was a free promotional). Charles watched me swing a few times checked out my clubs and immediately knew my club speed was to fast for the hand me down reg/senior shaft irons I was using. Gave me a new quantum 7iron stiff and I couldn't believe the disadvantage I was at not using proper equipment. Wedges same thing and no need to touch my driver if I didn't want to. Charles helped me understand why I needed new clubs, why my face would always be open, and why 2 days early I sheared off the head on my 4iron. My irons were defective for my swing. He took notes from our session and worked up a invoice/spec sheet. Peter was able to apply a promotional discount for the fitting to the clubs and I was emailed it the same day. 2 days later I paid the invoice and are now awaiting my first ever made for me clubs. It was a great experience.” — mitch bean, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (2 months ago)
“5iron Seattle provides a great golf community and it is a fantastic establishment. The standout thing about this 5iron location is that it offers golf lessons and ask for Charles (their golf pro). From my personal experience working with him I can attest that Charles has been transformative to how I feel about the game of golf. Working with Charles is great because he treats your golf journey like a partnership. He listens to your frustrations and aspriations then turn them into an actionable plan for your success. I am grateful to his coaching style as I have unlocked significant improvements in my swing mechanics and my overall confidence on the course has never been as strong. The game of golf has been a passion of mine now because of 5iron and Charles!” — JJBeanie, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (5 months ago)
“I’ve had the pleasure of taking golf lessons with Charles for around a year now - he has a lot of knowledge about the golf game as well as the golf swing. He is a great player himself + great instructor to have Charles is a results-oriented coach who prioritizes foundational mechanics. Since my first sessions with him, my game has seen measurable improvement. Recommend him for anyone looking to improve their overall golf game and golf swing!” — Ever Diez, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (5 months ago)
“Have been taking golf lessons for a couple of months now with Charles. I started as a beginner without any knowledge on what was going on and have made strides and happy with the improvement so far. Charles has been an amazing and patient coach helping to fix my swing. He does a great job using the trackman/video to help explain what is happening in the swing and what specifically I should be working on to improve it. I’ve come out of every lesson so far with specific things to think about and work on. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to continuing to work with him!” — David Nie, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (5 months ago)
