“I have some friends who frequent this place, so I decided to go with them this past weekend (5/24:26) What they described was 100% not what I thought this place would be. Overall, the golfing experience was good. It was my first time, but we all had a pretty fun time with the simulator. The service, on the other hand, lacked severely. My fiancé and I both ordered the double Wagyu smash burger that is supposed to come with their “5i seasoned fries.” When the food arrived, they served me two sliders and my fiancé a double burger, both with kettle-cooked potato chips on the side. Confused, I asked the waiter if the burgers were supposed to come with fries. She told me, “No, we’re not serving those with fries today.” Now even more confused, I pushed the conversation further, and she eventually said, “We’re out of fries.” Shouldn’t waiters and restaurant staff let you know prior to ordering that certain food items are out of stock? I told her it would’ve been nice to know beforehand, and instead of trying to make things right, she just said, “Oh, I’m sorry,” and walked away. At this point, I was definitely ticked off, but we continued trying to have a good night. Later on, I decided to order the “Churro Bites” for dessert. I ordered them with the lady at the bar because our server hardly came around and was mostly standing at the front desk/check-in area talking with the other staff members. About 30 minutes passed, and the churro bites still hadn’t arrived. I went back to the woman we ordered from and asked about them. She claimed she was confused by our order, which was simply two Modelos and an order of churro bites. Does that sound like a confusing order? Not really. She then asked if I wanted her to put the order in now, and I said yes, only to find out they were out of stock on those as well. It’s disappointing because the place itself has potential, and the golf simulator experience was fun. However, poor communication, quality of food, inattentive service, and repeatedly finding out items were out of stock only after ordering completely took away from the experience. If you’re charging premium prices, the service should match. Unfortunately, this visit felt very unorganized and left a bad impression overall.” — JD, rated 2 out of 5 on Google (a month ago)
“Had an awesome experience at Five Iron Golf LIC. The location is super convenient, and honestly, it’s way better than the other golf simulator spot in the city (not naming names, but if you know, you know). Derek was fantastic!!! He took great care of us, made sure everything was set up perfectly, and went above and beyond to make the experience smooth and enjoyable. You could tell he actually cared about making sure we had a great time. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks” — Spencer B., rated 5 out of 5 on Google (5 months ago)
“I’ve been a member here at 5i LIC for over 2 years. I come as often as I can to practice and play rounds on the sim. The facilities are exceptional. I’ve had coaching with Lois and Sean and my game has improved markedly as a result. A huge shout out to the competent and friendly staff, including Derek, Jack and Jason. Ps - a great place to hang out too. Good bar. Sometimes I watch sports here before/ after a round!” — Tom Davenport, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (5 months ago)

“I had a blast here! I’m not usually much for golf to be honest with you but I had never used a golf simulator before let’s start from the beginning. If you take the 7 train to court square the place is literally right around the corner. You go in and you see ads with all sorts of deals and discounts on specific days. There are escalators which take you up to the main lobby or where everything sits. Just as you see the amazing scenery, a relaxing chill spot anyone is welcomed to come. The WiFi is free to use and pretty fast and good. The heat is on during the cold winter days and the AC is on during the hot summer days so props for temperature control. On the left side theee is a bar and a kitchen where you can order drinks and items and don’t sit out the wings they are to die for and with an amazing deal. $5 all you can eat boneless wings with a $3 purchase of all you can drink soda! I honestly could not have found a much better spot than this. In the middle you als have a long shuffleboard you can play in case you get bored of golf and they also showcase the league play and teams they have going around there various stores and franchised businesses. After all this is just one of many stores they have all around America and NYC specifically as well. I bought my reservation ticket online and for cheap too. 1 hour of play for 2 people about $30-$40. Tax was minimal as well since I paid with card which is something I usually look for when it comes to reviewing these services. You can enter your email to record and receive the shots you take in the simulator. The way it works is simple: They give you your own booth which houses a central computer, a projector and a screen to view, and a tracking camera that sits right behind you so they can time your accuracy, power of the shot and distance it goes as if you were in an actual golf field. There are several modes you can play none again AI unfortunately but you can play with or against people online as well as set records against the top golfers in the country. You have access to a whole plethora of golf clubs which just makes sense seeing as they are a golfing institution and by my count I’d say you have between 20 options of clubs to choose from give more or less to take. They all specialize in various aspects of golfing from putting to farther shots to accuracy buildup etc. I find it a whole lot more fun if you bring a group to play with so you guys can take turns seeing how your shots went and where it would on a real course. They can also bring the food and drinks to you depending on how long you have the booth for but it gets cheaper the more time you spend. Overall I really did like this place and it gave me a new found respect and admiration for the sport in general. Even the bathrooms were top notch as in they have showers for you to use, towels and various soaps, lotions, moisturizer and shampoos too use and best of all clean, nice smelling and totally hygienic.” — Yvngumar, rated 5 out of 5 on Google (6 months ago)
