“We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue than the Chequessett Club. The setting overlooking Wellfleet Harbor was absolutely beautiful and made the perfect backdrop for our day. Our guests are still talking about the view and how special the atmosphere felt. We looked at several other venues while planning our wedding, but we ultimately couldn’t deny the convenience and ease that came with everything Chequessett Club provided. Having the tent, tables, chairs, and so many other amenities included made the entire planning process so much less stressful and allowed us to truly enjoy the experience instead of worrying about logistics. The tent was perfect for our buffet sit-down dinner and created such a warm, elegant atmosphere for everyone to gather together. The venue itself offered so many great spaces throughout the night. The boathouse was the perfect place to dance the night away, and the fire pits gave guests a cozy spot to relax, catch their breath, and enjoy the beautiful harbor views between dances. A huge thank you to Tracy, the event director, who truly went above and beyond every step of the way. Since we didn’t have a wedding planner (not to recommend this!), Tracy became our go-to person for absolutely everything and handled it all with kindness, professionalism, and incredible attention to detail. She made us feel supported from start to finish and helped make our wedding day seamless and unforgettable. In addition to Tracy, all of the bartenders, golf cart drivers, set up and break down crews were absolutely spectacular. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure our guests had an amazing experience. Their energy and professionalism added so much to the day and did not go unnoticed. “We had a wonderful wedding experience at Chequessett. A major storm washed the entire beach away the day before our wedding, and the staff worked tirelessly to rebuild it in time. They truly went above and beyond, and their positive attitudes kept everything calm and beautiful. Our special day was coordinated well and the venue was perfect. We’re so grateful. “We had the most beautiful wedding here. However, I am giving three stars because coordination with the venue was horrendous and they misrepresented a golfing tournament that was happening the same day. We had about 15 cars for the entire wedding, and they couldn't find parking before the ceremony because drunk golfers, who’s tournament ran longer than promised to us, were wandering around the premises. They are extremely disorganized. The questionnaire requires that you create a layout for their tent and boathouse which was a stressful exercise. The process of selecting wines was also not straightforward or transparent. They will charge you $50 per bottle regardless of it normally being a $10 bottle or an $30 bottle. Also, be warned, that your open bar tab will be about 10k after gratuity. They say they count drinks (at $14 per drink) but we never saw the bartender counting. The bartender was also the RUDEST person I’ve ever encountered, and the drinks she made were not great. Every guest had a story about how outrageously mean she was. “My husband and I had our wedding there in June. If you are looking for a laid back, beautiful beach setting for your wedding or event- this is it. Reven, the event coordinator was great! She was helpful and kind and her overall attitude calmed my nerves and made me so happy we chose this venue. Every single one of the staff members that were part of our day were professional and personable. Our entire wedding from start to finish was incredible.
