“I used to be a little better than ok at this game…so I know what good can feel like…but had been out of it for 25 years (minus the occasional round here and there). Got back into it and got a membership and started playing more… As a surprise for my 50th, I was taken to a big box store (NOT in Tulsa area) and got “fitted”. I felt like i was going to be closer to players distance irons, but landed in game improvement (not upset…just had higher expectations of myself). They have an exchange policy so I went with it. I hit them “OK” but wasn’t thrilled. After a few rounds and range time I wasnt hitting them better than my 25 year old clubs, I said “just in case” and I could go an exchange then (worth $100 when you are talking this kind of investment) and went and got fitted at Baker’s. I had never been in before. Went through the entire process and was starting to end up in the same vicinity of club (I think that is because where I started) but in a slightly heavier and stiffer shaft…was better than what I had, but didn’t wow me. He working to get the ball in a launch and spin window. Then he was like “do you mind if I try something”…had nothing to lose. Put me in a different head and slightly different shaft and it was like “WOW”! Hadn’t felt that in decades. Went and did the exchange. Took them out and instant feel of nirvana I felt in the studio came back. Could not have been happier with the result! “Had a special request for my clubs. Wanted them to install caddy wraps on my shafts plus new grips. They were very helpful, accommodating, & friendly the entire time. “I went in for my first ever fitting and had an excellent experience with Brian. I was admittedly nervous about the experience, not knowing if my swing shows up etc.. Brian put those nerves at east straight away. I went in completely open to brand and just let Brian do his thing. In the end he found an incredible shaft and iron head combo that helped me increase angle of attack, apex, spin, dispersion, ball speed, and just about every other important statistic we set out to improve at the start of the fitting. “I went in today for a new driver. I believe Brian is the gentleman that helped me and he was so helpful and patient with me. He setup multiple heads and shafts and really went above and beyond. He could have easily sold me a way more expensive setup but he sold me a cheaper setup that I hot just a fraction better. They really care about the client more than money. “Club fitting with Brian was an excellent experience. Brian is super nice, laid back and extremely knowledgeable. Baker's has pretty much every option, so it's easy to get dialed in to the right combination of club heads, shafts and grips. I found a set that was giving me a better launch angle, steeper decent angle, the right amount of spin and about 20 yards more distance per club.
